Cables for Colortran Mini Pro Lights

Recently I purchased a handful of Colortran Mini Pro (model 100-091) lights. They’re decent enough lights, but they use what looks to be a proprietary power adapter.

The replacement cord has a model number of AMPRC-000 and can be obtained from B&H (I don’t make money off this link). Don’t believe B&H’s customer service, this is the part Leviton recommends you purchase for new or refurbished Mini Pros. I may end up rewiring them, but for the time being this will work.

In terms of lamps I’m using 600W DYS / DYV / BHC projector lamps (basically a GZ9.5 base with a T-6 adapter). They support wattages of 650W, but I haven’t found any lamps at 120V that support that, and even then it reduces lamp life by quite a bit.

You can buy these new from the owner of Colortran (Leviton) at B&H, but given that you can pick them up inexpensively on Ebay I’d suggest going that route. Try to get them with barn doors if you can. They don’t use a standard baby light stand, but the ones I bought came with stands so I haven’t had to figure out how to adapt them.
